The award winning Bedford River Festival returned at the weekend. With it’s colourful milieu of live entertainment, river events, parade, funfair and fete with activities as diverse as raft races, fireworks, sports, arts and heritage villages there was something for everyone.
Entertainment featured strongly at the event with displays from local community groups in the arts and sporting worlds, to a multitude of professional acts performing on stages right across the site.
Bedford author Tony Drury was delighted to have been asked to take part in the Showbiz Panel again with BBC3CR, broadcasting live from the festival. Here he is following the show with radio presenter Roberto Perrone.
