Tony is the author of five DCI Sarah Rudd City thrillers. In each, he draws upon his career as a London financier to expose the underworld of dark practices and shadowy characters. None, however, are able to withstand the bravery and incisive detection methods of one of the police force’s bravest officers. Her juggling of career demands, husband, children and her own demons, make riveting reading.
He has now written two more novels which trace the early career of probationary police constable Sarah Whitson. In ‘On Scene and Dealing’ she meets her future husband Nick. In ‘Journey to the Crown’ she has a devastating affair with Dr Martin Redding. The final chapter jumps ahead to sample her future life as a private detective.
Tony has created an innovative series as a novella writer. Reflecting iconic cinema classics, his first is ‘Lunch with Harry’, which is inspired by ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’. Others to follow include ‘Twelve Troubled Jurors’ (echoing ‘12 Angry Men’) and ‘Forever on Thursdays’ (capturing the drama of ‘Brief Encounter’).
He writes short-stories wherein the net proceeds go to HEART UK – The Cholesterol Charity. He is an ambassador for the charity.
Aged seventy, Tony is a follower of the wisdom of Albert Einstein: “When a man stops learning, he starts dying.” He lives in Bedford with his wife Judy. They value every trip down the M1 to Watford to be with Grandson Henry.

Dave Lyons is founder and Director of Raven Crest Books (Ravencrestbooks.com), an independent publisher specialising in the selection of inspiring new authors and publishing to the fast growing ebook market. The publishing and marketing model was developed by Lyons based on a career in various sales and marketing environments including beer, wines and spirits, mobile devices and communications infrastructure.
Dave is also qualified as a financial adviser and is a trustee of a company pension scheme. He is a musician playing bass in “Njght Fljght” (njghtfljght.com), a volunteer in the Airfield Volunteer Fire Service based at Old Warden aerodrome, Bedfordshire (AVFS.org) and is working towards gaining his pilot’s licence. He is married with two daughters and lives in Bedfordshire

Cathy has a bubbly and infectious personality. She has worked in various administration positions over the years before starting her own administration and marketing company. She is motivated and has a wealth of management and marketing experience, which her clients come to value.
She joined City Fiction as Executive Assistant in 2012 and has recently been promoted to Social Media Manager. Her role is to develop the business and help to publicise and promote Tony’s books and, in due course, to seek new aspiring authors. Her areas of speciality are local marketing and social media marketing. She has built up an impressive portfolio of success in this area, as can be seen in the News section of the City Fiction website.
Cathy has been instrumental in publicising Tony’s books, arranging local marketing activities and press coverage as well as developing a growing online presence for ‘Tony Drury – the Author’. Since joining she has become a real asset to the growing City Fiction Team.
Jane Alexandra Foster,
Jane is a director, writer and producer. In 2010 she gained a degree in screenwriting from the University of London. This followed diploma courses at The Script Factory and master classes at the London Film School.
She is the writer/producer of ‘Aura’, a co-production with Spring Time Films, director/development producer of BLACK 2 SUGARS, a dramatic spy thriller and will be working as a producer of ‘A Flash of Lightning’ which is part of the output from City Fiction.
